Our charters are made up on 4hr sessions – a half day being four hours typically the morning or afternoon. A full day will fishing over the peak periods of the day and perhaps having a break over lunch. Our 3-Session packages give you plenty of time on the water during the peak bite sessions. Sessions are split over consecutive days, typically the best bite times over a morning, afternoon/evening and morning session or afternoon/evening, morning and afternoon evening combo of 4 hours each session .
Start and end times will vary according to the time of year and the time the sun rises or sets on the dam.
3 Session Weekend packages are great for those wanting to familiarise themselves with more of the dam, spend plenty of time on the water and catch plenty of fish!
Fishing is permitted at Monduran Dam via SIP permits from Fisheries Queensland which can be purchased online here.
Monduran is stocked with both barramundi and Australian bass by the Monduran Anglers and Stocking Association Inc and over 1 million barramundi and Australian bass fingerlings have also been stocked in Lake Monduran from SIPS.
Monduran Dam is open to fishing 24 hours a day and there are no vessel restrictions.
The main boat ramp is owned by Transport and Main Roads and Bundaberg Regional Council. Unless otherwise advised all charters will depart from the main ramp.
If you are staying at the Lake Monduran Holiday Park, there is a smaller ramp close to the cabin and house accommodations. Please advise if you’d prefer to depart from this ramp location.
Monduran is a dam and therefore considered sheltered waters and weather related cancellations are most unlikely. However, in the event weather conditions make it unsafe to fish, as determined by Luke – ie. storm activity, flooding rain etc – the charter will be rescheduled to a mutually suitable date, or all charter fees paid refunded.
In the event of a weather related charter cancellation, Luke Fallon Sport Fishing is not responsible for any ancillary costs/damages.
